The 2006 election is upon us.
It will be one for the record books. The war in Iraq, homosexual
marriage, abortion, the Supreme Court, and taxes are just a few
key issues hanging in the balance. America’s foundations
are under fierce attack. Activist groups are aiming at the heart
of America and their sights are set on the Constitution. The
time to respond is now.
It is time for the youth
culture to join this fight. For too long MTV has
captivated America’s youth with mindless propaganda. The
same group responsible for the Super Bowl halftime fiasco is now
throwing their hat in the ring of politics. MTV has joined
forces with other radical liberal organizations (ACLU, Gay and
Lesbian Social Services) to form Rock the Vote. These
organizations work to inspire political tyranny, and are
targeting the youth culture.
Here is how we make a
difference! Since 1980, the American Policy Roundtable has
led the charge by offering state-of-the-art voter information
and registration resources. This year the improved
USAVoter will provide election information and registration to
millions in Ohio, Florida, and Pennsylvania.
For 2006, VoteLOUD.com takes
voter registration and election information to a new level.
The VoteLOUD / USAVoter partnership responds to modern day
propaganda with honest and effective resources. Most
importantly, VoteLOUD provides the youth of America a new and
exciting way to be involved in the election process. The
VoteLOUD campaign can inspire young Americans and their families
across the nation.
VoteLOUD.com is dedicated to
inspiring political awareness and participation in the youth
culture. We believe it is time for our generation to take a
stand in the political arena. Through voter registration,
education, and participation, the youth of America will be
empowered and in turn inspire older voters to practice
responsible citizenship.
Objectives
1) FACT: 61% of
non-registered voters claim that lack of information on
candidates is the main reason they have not registered.
Objective: Provide information and education about
the voting process, issues of concern, and candidates for each
election, beginning in 2004.
2) FACT: Among other
reasons, 49% of all voters 18 to 29 voted due to a specific and
important issue.
Objective: Encourage informed voters to arrive at the
polls and make a difference. In addition, stress the
importance of voting by absentee ballot for students away from
home.
3) FACT: 58% of 16 to 29
year-olds say they would use an all-in-one website to obtain
information on registration, voting, issues and candidates.
Objective: Create a state-of-the-art website, and
online community that promotes the fusion of registration,
education and election information. This contagious atmosphere
will encourage discussions and active participation.
